Policies

1. Class Tuition
The class. schedule is posted on [joanneartcenter.blogspot.com].
Drawing class fee: $23 for 1 hr per group class.

Painting class fee: $34 for 1 ½ hr. per group class.
Private class fee: $70 for 1 hr per class.
For all Classes: full payment due prior to the first class  of the month.  A late fee is $5 charged after 7 days

2.  ABSENCE POLICY

For group classes, only those meetings cancelled by the teacher will be reimbursed.  Student absences cannot be reimbursed, however, students who give 24 hour cancellation notice will be allowed to reschedule.  If you would like to reschedule your class, you must do this within three months time.There is NO credit or refund for missed classes. In addition, each student will only be allowed to reschedule 3 TIMES  in one year. Due to numerous rescheduling, students will not be allowed to reschedule a class more than 3 TIMES a year and any missed classes after the fact will not be reimbursed. 

3.  CANCELLATIONS. WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS

The teacher may cancel a class if there are not enough students for one class; in that case, either a refund or credit for another class will be issued.

4.  INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

The teacher will email or call students to leave a message if their class is canceled due to bad weather.  Students must check their email or telephone messages.  Classes missed due to the teacher closure  will be made up, rescheduled or a credit/ refund  issued.

5. PARENT  RESPONSIBILITY

The teacher is NOT responsible for students before or after class.  Please be prompt in both delivering and picking up your children.

6.  ART SUPPLIES

Students are responsble to bring their own art supplies to class.  All materials must be taken home after each class as there is not enough storage for their supplies on site.     

7.  SPECIAL CLASS

One or two classes will be held outside-- “en plein air”-- at a local site for outdoor drawing or painting during the Spring or Summer on a weekend.  Students will learn using different mediums, such as charcoal, pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oil painting.   This is a special trip with a charge of $30 for 2 hrs instruction and each student is responsible for getting to and from the assigned location themselves.

We will also have figure-drawing class with a live model.  Students will learn how to draw people for both short and long poses.  This is a special class with a charge of $30 for 2 hrs + model fee. This class is held one or two times per year.
